Project Timeline

High level indicative project timeline for the redevelopment of the Guildford Hotel is as follows; NB: dates are indicative; and subject to change July 2014:
  • Initial site inspections by Architect, Heritage & Structural Consultants.
  • Commencement of Conservation Management Strategy (CMS) and Heritage Impact Statement (HIS) background checks by Heritage Consultants.
  • Draft Structural report issued by Structural Engineers.
  • Commencement of Laser Building Survey.
  • Extension of existing DA approved.
August 2014:
  • Building survey completed.
  • Architects commence concept design options.
September 2014:
  • Initial Concept Designs presented to State Heritage Office (SHO) and City of Swan (CoS).
October 2014:
  • Receipt of Certificate of Design Compliance (CDC) for Pre-Enabling/Roof Works.
  • Submission of Building Permit for Pre-Enabling Works.
  • Submission of amended DA Application for refurbishment of Hotel.
  • Endorsement from State Heritage office for proposed partial re-roofing of the Guildford Hotel.
November 2014:
  • Receipt of Building Permit for Pre-Enabling Works.
  • State Heritage Office approval to amended DA Application.
  • Commencement of Pre-Enabling works on site.
December 2014:
  • Amended DA Application approved by City of Swan.
February 2015:
  • Submission of Demolition Permit Application.
March 2015:
  • Receipt of Demolition Permit
  • State Heritage Office Approval of Base Build Documentation.
  • Approval of Heritage Agreement (Between Landlord, City of Swan and State Heritage Office).
  • Base Build Building Permit Approval.
  • Commencement of Roof installation on Site.
  • Commencement of Base Build Works on Site.
April 2015:
  • State Heritage Office Approval of Fit-Out Documentation.
  • Fit Out Building Permit Approval.
  • Completion of Main Roof.
June 2015:
  • Completion of main Base Build works.
  • Commencement of Fit-Out works.
October 2015:
  • Completion of Fit-Out works.
  • Certificate of Construction Compliance
Oct/Nov 2015:
  • Occupancy Certificate.
  • Practical Completion/Handover.
  • Commencement of Defects Period.
  • Opening of Guildford Hotel
  The project team are currently exploring a number of feasibility options for the development to the rear of the Hotel, and a Scheme Amendment has been submitted to allow multiple dwellings on the site. Once these milestones have been reached, a further definitive timeline for these works will be able to be determined.
